Great insights. I once heard a sermon by Derek Prince about the spirit of rejection. The orphan spirit must be closely aligned. This stuff cuts deep. My foster son, who stayed with us for eight years, once told us we were the first family that had treated him like a human. And he'd been in 13 homes prior. Abuse piled on abuse. There's a lot of hurt in this world. Come, Lord Jesus.

Joan, thank you for once again, showing your deep insights! I think the walking wounded of the world are not receiving the love and compassion of God and His Son. They are indeed, the only ultimate solution to the brokenhearted. I write because Holy Spirit told me to write…and He knows things. Isaiah 61:1 is one of my life verses, regarding “bind up the brokenhearted.” Godspeed to you and us all, Wendy

“Get away from me, I’m damaged goods!” My dear Wendy. I read your comments from earlier today talking about "having a day". I am a Sensitive New Age Man. Perhaps what you call an empath. From this "damaged goods" to "another" and Listen Very Carefully. Listening? You are Loved. Sometimes the only way through "feelings" is to go through them. The phrase Jump for Joy sometimes means if I jump I will create Joy. So I "jump". I must tell you that when I jump at this point in my life, I do not catch much "air" under my feet.

Onward, yes, no other way to go. Peace Sister

Dr. Gary, I do understand, from seven + decades, that the only way through “feelings” is through them and I have plenty of experience with that…sometimes a meander, sometimes a fall off a cliff, sometimes with a map and sometimes screaming in despair. Life is a rough time for many of us sensitive souls. I am a survivor and I hold in desperation to God and His Son. As a returned Prodigal, I take not one thing for granted, I am just grateful I, with deep repentance, was allowed to come Home. I do feel some love, especially from my church family and Brothers and Sisters in Christ, you included. Jumping, I don’t think I will be doing any jumping…but I can smile through my tears, as they do dry from time to time. Onward, no other way to go, yes?
