Dear Wendy,

You don't know this, but you wrote this piece for this old horseman, far away on the other side of the earth in Shangri-La...

"Listen to Christian singer Brandon Lake sing “Graves into Gardens”, in which he speaks of God being with us both on the mountaintop and in the valley..."

I'm an ex-addict that's been battling recently again with da poison. Your essay, your amazing journey through grace, this powerful music of Brandon, all of it resonated with me here.

I think God used you in a profound way this morning, to minister to me. It raised me up, to know that there's only one thing that can fill this emptiness in my soul. I'm holding unto His hand, knowing it is my precious, turning my ashes into something beautiful.

Thank you ✨

Love never fails 🌾

"Who would have thought my shrivel'd heart / Could have recover'd greenesse?/ It was gone quite underground: as flowers depart/ To see their mother-root,when they have blown/ Where they together / All the hard weather/ Dead to the world, keep house unknown.

Just one verse from The Flower by George Herbert.
