I try to inject a bit of self-deprecating (NOT self-hatred!) humor into my writing, to illustrate my difficulty in dealing with the material world! I do very sincerely thank you for reading my work! I really love your posts! I just discovered your substack and I have enjoyed reading a few. I, too, lived in SF and walked super fast in my youthful days. I am about to be 50 this summer, very close to America's 250 year birthday and my mind continually shows me scenes from my life lately -like a life review. The other day I remembered my PE class in Portland, OR, where I grew up and climbing ropes up very high. I really enjoyed PE actually and I am amazed when I consider all they exposed to.

Sister Wendy I'm back! Not yet progressed to paid but give me a week or two. My Mum believed in SLOW and STEADY. It's so funny how she saw me as a frenetic whirlwind of activity when I thought I was slow and stupid. I got one right there! I'm off for a few days on and around Dartmoor in Devon. Weird place with lots of weird folklore!
Jane, wonderful to hear from you! Take your time, God always says the same thing to me, “one step, one day.” Good advice for someone like me! Please go and enjoy your visit around “Dartmoor in Devon.” Folklore is also fertile ground for photography and writing!!
