Beautiful, Wendy…thank you for sharing your story, and our story. God is an amazing Father. His Holy Spirit is with us. Jesus is the way to “heavenly bliss” - our future beyond this life. As we accept Jesus into our hearts, the Holy Spirit empowers us with a boldness to be truth bearers, and to live and love like Jesus. The great mercy of God, through Jesus, feeds our souls until we are all united. God is so good and so just. ❤️
Laura, thank you! I agree with everything you say. Fellowship and relationship with God and His Son is key, otherwise we go off into the weeds…like I did too many times! Blessings abound to you ! Wendy
We should be learning faster, with all the battles seemingly generated for our attention. There is a more hidden, peaceful place and you have found it, Wendy.
Thank you, just mud by Ron! I have slogged through plenty of mud of my own over 73 years and try my best to share some pointers along the way, visceral and raw and blunt stuff…but God is so merciful as I slog!!! Bless you, Ron! Wendy
Joan, same!!! “Justice would do me in.” Yep. That is why I ask for MERCY!!! I also attempt to learn from my stupid mistakes!! Yes, even I can learn from being “stoooopid…” W.E. W.
I found my way here via a banner notification on my phone. I rarely pay attention to those banners, and even less if they show someone’s Substack which I do not subscribe. It was obviously a God thing. I was meant to see and read this. Thank you for sharing your heart, your skill at writing, above all the reminder that He loves us even though, and that Jesus saves us all.
Sheila Nawrot…I tell you, God is truly what I call a “Stealth Papa”. He is always right, of course and He can be trusted. I always lay hands on the screen of my laptop and pray, right before I press “post” for my weekly Friday night writing piece on Substack, praying that Holy Spirit will guide people who need to read what I wrote, to my post. I cannot do this, only God can do this. Godspeed to you, Sheila, Following God is tough…but not following God is MUCH tougher. I learned the very hard way. Blessings, Wendy
Jan, exactly. With God, you need no appointment, you don’t have to comb your hair or take a shower. You come as you are, pour out your heart and get some HELP HELP HELP! (my favorite prayer…”HELP!”
Thank you for this, I too was a prodigal for most of my life and can honestly say that He will let you fry yourself and cause you to see & seek Him before you destroy yourself! And praise the Lord Jesus, I was convicted and confessed and I AM FREE ‼️❤️🙏👑❤️😂✝️❤️😺
Dawn, that is exactly what happened to me… as you so accurately said: “He will let you fry yourself and cause you to see & seek Him before you destroy yourself!” As I said in a recent writing piece here on Substack (I do one longer piece per week, on Friday nights) I “collapsed on God’s Front Porch” (title of the piece) and He welcomed me back Home, as I came in steep repentance all the way and will never wander again. Godspeed to you as well, Prodigals who returned have a special ministry of sorts! Blessings, Wendy

" I have asked WHY, more times than I can count...and get no answer except the mercy of Papa God. "
That's a true and beautiful line, Wendy. I want mercy. I don't want justice. Justice would do me in.

"Talk to Him." I did, Wendy, at 4:00 a.m. today. As good a time as any, right?

I can only count on God, the True and Living. I tried everyone else, including myself. We all failed. He alone overcame.
