Jan, thank you. The "grip" is tough to loosen...and I struggle with it. Trust is not easy and cannot be faked. I am glad I am not alone in this. God is good. Blessings to you! Wendy
Lisa Graham Parson, a belated THANK YOU for your positive comment on the "Hall of Bolts"! It was the Lord Jesus that spoke that to me, as He knew my lifelong love of all things "threads" and fabrics. I see it as the weaving of Creation, the colors, the textures, the shapes, the stunning variety and in what context each glorious thing is in! I so look forward to that day, when I am Home! Thank you again for taking the time to read my work and make such a positive comment, it means so much to me! Godspeed to you, Wendy
My short stories invariably feature porch swings as they are common in the south. Porch swings are where your grandma sits you down and lets you "rest" next to her after you've thumped
Hi Wendy, I love your description of a porch swing. And, your thoughts about preparing for heaven are an inspiration! We are attending more and more memorial services each year as our friends and family members depart, and this causes me to think about heavenly reunions, and joining in that great choir singing praises to our Lord. I am now picturing a scene of sharing a porch scene with an old friend, as we talk about the goodness of our God.
The "grip" mentality... I know it well. In my case, every part of me grips! But you're moving into trust. Keep going, Wendy!

And I liked your Hall of Bolts!

I love porch swings, except mine is supported by two trees! 😃
Love your comments the best so far
