Yes…much to do in the realm of spiritual warfare and spiritual darkness. May we go and spread some kindness in a harsh world. God is good, faithful and just, and may we honor HIM. 💔✝️

I agree 100%, Laura! Much we can do to pierce the darkness! Blessings to you, Wendy

After reading this, I realized I am "loved on" by my Barefoot Dreams garments. The brand began with baby blankets 30 years ago and expanded into apparel, becoming popular with celebs and then the general public. When I'm under the weather, I will throw on one of their soft and cozy sweaters and it almost "embraces" me. Much better than a (ugh) crop top (Ha!). Good piece, Wendy!

Jan, thank you! You, a fellow clothing person, “get” my message about being “loved on by a garment”. It is real and truly has nothing formally to do with “fashion”. Glad you are kindred spirit in this!!! Blessings, W.E.W.

"Cool off about a thousand degrees, cover up the revealings of your sadness, sit down next to your Papa God and His dear Son, the Lord Jesus Christ...His healing balm soothes the sorrowful lonely tears and despair, step by step."

Wow....

"cover up the revealings of your sadness."

Profound

Thank you. This article ministered to me ❤️‍🩹

Many thanks, dear Amy Dudley! When I read your comment on my phone earlier, I began to cry…typical steam vent for me…but your comment is WHY I write. I was directly nudged by Holy Spirit years back to basically pour out my heart to the world, of what I myself have been through in my years as a Prodigal to my faith in God (35 years!) and how I began to come Home and how Papa God has guided my path back to Him and to His Son. Amazing stuff…and now Holy Spirit Himself is my writing coach! We cannot figure out God but by one step, one day of direct experience with His great mercy. Godspeed to you, dear Amy, you fed my soul today! Wendy (W.E.W.)

Don't you just love how Holy Spirit works 2-for-1's so effortlessly. Both parties are blessed. ❤️‍🩹

Amy, yes indeed, Holy Spirit is a Master Teacher, Comforter, Guide, Coach…and I will not ever let Him go again!!!

I'm not sure why when we are young, having a relationship is so important? If I could go back, I would work harder, although in my small town there were few opportunities for women. I did have 3 jobs while raising my daughter….while her daddy who was not in her life, drove a brand new car. I would go to university and get an English degree in journalism. I would work on myself and not rely on the love (attention) of a man to create my caricature of who I should be. It wasn't until i was in my late 40’s that I began to see who I was in character and that was by the good Lord revealing it to me.

In our small beach town that turns into a resort town in the summer, you cannot drive down the street without seeing scantily clad girls wearing thongs as they walk to the beach…in all shapes and sizes. Sometimes they cover themselves in a sheer or lace skirt or pants which only enhances the seduction. It's lost on me how they can so carelessly expose themselves. Guess we cannot expect the unsaved to act in a godly fashion. I hear a Matthew28 call there. I'm so thankful that he saved me and taught me to dress in a modest fashion.

I too love garments. I had an old cotton duck, khaki coloured, coat with shearling lining and patch pockets that I loved and Misha---as she was wont to do----wore it to the streets in January where she lost it. I guess I can itemize that under: Things We Lost in the Fire.

Well-put, Rosemary, “things we lost in the fire.” I think the marketing machine has been roaring at young women for so long, they no longer recognize what they are doing. I can look at this in looking back…but it is much more pronounced today and I am saddened by it! I like clothing as a refuge, a place of comfort and protection, not the sharing of your body with the profane of the world. Blessings to you, dear Rosemary, always love to hear from you! I continue to pray for you and yours, Wendy

Bring back the Lady should be a battle cry!.Not the bare-all, the unwrapped, and the insane! There were eras of beautiful clothing! Not so,ours! Maybe it will change. I read somewhere that the exaggerated Kim Kardashian look is going out of style. I hope that article was right, because i cringe when I read of women dying while getting "fillers" in their behinds. Great article, Wendy!.

Joan, I agree 100%. Too much is enough, for so many of us!! Too much flesh flaunted and not enough inner respect for self and others! Blessings to you, Wendy

Yes! And the Ride of the Rohirrim is wonderful!

Miriam! I often return to the Ride of the Rohirrim, as it truly is an honorable segment of men defending their families and selves and the freedoms they hold dear. Somehow, it always gives me a bolt of strength. Of course, King Theoden is killed in battle, Eowyn, along with Merry, dispatches the Lord of the Nazgul, the Ringwraiths, and then Eowyn meets Faramir and love is manifested amidst the terror. JRR Tolkein was such a great writer…Thank you for reading!!
