Wendy….perhaps you and I are kindred spirits. Your post definitely resonated with me as I could have never articulated how “dismissed” I have felt most of my life. I think I’ve gotten a little better with each passing day in the last decade. Thankfully I have a husband who has always been a cheerleader for me. Thank you so much for your article, It felt like you were writing about me.

Mary Mudd, thank you so much for your wonderful comment back to me! Holy Spirit knows things and that is why I am grateful to Him for His weekly help on my writing pieces. That title was from Him and I think many of us feel the same way. God bless and keep you and guide your path! Blessings, Wendy

Jessamyn, thank you as well! I am always grateful when people are positively affected by what I write, that is my core misison, to minister to people, to "encourage the discouraged", which is what I was guided to do by my Heavenly Father. God bless you and yours in this Christmas season! Wendy

I appreciate and enjoy your authentic, simple writing Wendy! I have definitely been dismissed in my life and have learned to do it to myself and, unconsciously at times, to others. Thankfully God is merciful and our healer and I believe He is working in me to put an end to this sinful pattern. God bless you and yours this season, merry Christmas!

Thank you, dear Maria Duta! I try to keep my writing like a conversation, as if we are sitting on the couch or at the table and just talking. So much is overwhelming people in these times. The simplicity of our humanity needs a focus, as life slam dunks all of us at times. Dismissing ourselves seems to fight the battle for the enemy, the devil, rather than shoving back on him. God is so good and I live by His mercy , all day, every day. God bless and keep you and yours in this Christmas season, Wendy

Thank you, Jan! Holy Spirit is such a great writing coach, He knows things and He knows my own spirit and how to help me speak with some clarity amidst the tumult of ideas. I appreciate you reading my piece! Cori is also an excellent writer and I was blessed that she approached me. I look forward to your next piece as well! Merry Christmas, Wendy
