Hello all,
I wanted to briefly reach out to all of you on my subscriber list, free or paid and I figured a brief message like this would do the trick.
A few days ago, I noticed I lost one paid subscriber. I do not know who that person is or why they canceled their paid subscription. My thoughts here are to simply say a heartfelt “thank you” to you for your kind support, for however long it was that you paid for my work.
I take not one penny for granted! I know the challenges of the world and I am sensitive to money. I have working class roots and have had plenty of experience in being a member of the honorable working poor.
I thank every free subscriber for even wandering in to give my writing a try! As a fellow reader, I also subscribe to various Substacks, sometimes on impulse. If you even read one piece I wrote, that means a lot. If you unsubscribe, that is OK, too! I do the same thing sometimes, as I just get overwhelmed with too much to take in.
Anyway, sincere blessings to all who read my work. There is so much great writing here on Substack, it is truly difficult to absorb it all.
I will be placing my new weekly piece on Friday and my weekly shorter piece on my Ko-fi page.
Blessings to all,

A Blunt Oregon Girl on Substack
Oregon Lady-Wendy Elizabeth. How gracious are your words. I think we all know that stab of pain when we notice we have lost a subscriber. I rarely look at stats as that is not what I'm here for but it doesn't forestall that moment of "what'd I SAY",in my case,Everything. I sometimes post a Thank You to the few kind souls who look at my posts plus an explanation for why I don't engage much. It is,yes, partly rudeness, social grace has never been an attribute God gave me much of but also I want to keep a distance so as to say exactly what I think on the vexatious lies we are fed every day. Except its now so obvious the vexatious lies are INTENDED to ANGER and DISTURB us that I feel I've said enough and maybe it's just PLAYING THEIR GAME to react. What I'm trying to say is I 'get where you're coming from' but I feel your words are so much more charming and gracious than mine in a similar situation. I do ramble on! Remember back in the 1970s "they" used to say,in order to refute all critiscm "dont knock it till youve tried it",well you tried it so you're well qualified to knock it. Of course what those very nasty people do,or did, they still do,is to turn round with their venomous bites, they are human Komodo dragons, and say,"you tried it,you are morally compromised,ok we did it all the timr but we are the intelligentsia literati and we have each others backs" (for sure eh). But you, you're not in our CLUB and you did it,found out it was harmful and evil and you're telling everybody so we are going to DESTROY YOU - Russell Brand - by declaiming you as morally compromised and immoral for doing the sort of things we spent decades writing highly literate and deeply boring books about.
Happy Easter Wendy.
