Shari Brase-Smith, many thanks for prayers, it means so much! The Body of Christ is one of our foundations as we walk the narrow path. God bless you! Wendy
Love ๐ this! Thank you for your lovely words, I always appreciate your posts- it was so hard to hand over the keys ๐น of my life but I sure had a grip onโฆ.NOTHING!!! Imagine the joy of being taken care of by my CREATOR, Wow! Whoโd a thunk it?!!?! Mentioning you in my prayers ๐๐โค๏ธ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐บ๐ธ๐บ
Dawn, I always appreciate your kind and tender words about my writing pieces. Writing, like any creative craft, is an emotional and visceral journey of ups, downs and thumps into the ditch and out again. Holy Spirit appointed Himself my writing coach (I prayed for help!) and He gives me my weekly theme and title and I take it from there. His care is so kind and gentle and yet I never doubt He is God! I hear the direction and I follow and usually things donโt fully come together each week until Friday evening as I am doing final edits on the actual editing page on my own Substack. You are right, the thought of being cared for by the Creatorโฆutterly astonishing! Godspeed to you and I and all who travel the narrow path with God, His Son and Holy Spirit as our Guides and into Eternity with Them! Wendy
Jan! I cannot believe a child would be criticized for crying!! God designed tears as a vent for emotions. I think they need to be carefully used, not as manipulations or craftinessโฆbut I find crying does help to calm me down so I can continue forward, step by step! Glad to meet a fellow cry-er!
What a lovely and honest sharing! Thank you for it! I will write your name in my prayer intentions book that I offer up to Papa God at each Mass I celebrate (almost daily). That is my Substack prayer ministry just like yours! At 70 myself, I hear your story. Praise God for Hos faithfulness to each one of Hos children!
Thank you, Fr. Paul Guarnere, a belated thank you for your prayers (lost your reply in the threadโฆ). Prayer is the mightiest power of all, connecting us to our Creator and to His mercy and daily counsel for our difficult narrow path. Godspeed to you, man of God. Wendy
A long time friend of mine once told me: โI am not always happy with the hand I am dealt. However, I am very happy to be at the table and playโ. I want you to know that I am walking with you down the hallways of dark towards that light in the distance. The light is not a train!
I agree, the oncoming light is NOT a trainโฆbut the light of Godโs Son calling us Home in due time! I must write what Holy Spirit calls me to write each week, whether sad or happyโฆIsaiah 61:1, โbind up the brokenheartedโ is one of my core ministries. I am one of those who needs binding upโฆand I think we all do, to some degree. Glad to be traveling the narrow road with Brothers and Sisters in Christ! Wendy
Sister Wendy, thank you for having me on your prayer list. A good persons words are like sweet perfume to God. In Britain from the age of 15 to 30 I tried very hard to live according to the secular rules as taught me by tv,radio, books, even pop music. My parents? Well when I left school aged 15 and started work (you could then) they told me I was now an adult and had to figure out life for myself. I earned good money but had no access at all to advice on how to use it and manage it. If I asked I'd get told,"it's not your concern, the man in your life, will do all that" ( I knew there wasn't going to be a man in my life). On the brink of my 30th birthday and having tried to live by the secular rules and it bringing me nothing but sadness and failure I decided to hand over my life to God. Yes,make over TORAL CONTROL and direction to God. I assumed I would starve to death but I've never gone without a meal in my life. I flourished and had a wonderful time. A time of activity and interest. And totally contrary to received wisdom. I lived by God's Grace. Not my own strength. Right now I have difficulties in life but don't we all. We are now in The Time of Tribulation and Satan has been loosed to control the World so it ain't gonna be apple pie for anyone.
Jane, you are a grounded and deep thinker, like me. I know the times are scaryโฆbut the Body of Christ is bonding together in prayer, as God is our refuge and strength. I think the difficulties of life are what truly shape us. We learn, we shed tears, we stumble, we get back up, we keep on going. Not one person is free from troubles. That is why we need God and His Son, all day, everyday. Keep on, dear Jane, I will, too. Glad to pray for you daily, prayer keeps me going. Iโm an Intercessor! I know God will continue to care for you, just as He does for me!! Blessings to you from across the pond, Wendy
Papa God is both wise and stealthy...donโt ever play poker or chess with Him, you will lose, and yet, He will reward you for at least joining the table game, A for effort, you understand! A Stealth Papa, indeed.
Praying for you! God has this amazing way of redeeming those who appear totally lost-He sure did me! What a good, gracious, merciful, loving God!!!

Thank you ๐
superb appeal, I am praying for your strength dear Wendy.
Thank you, dear Rosemary! Blessings always to you, keeping both you and your daughter on my prayer list!
As a kid, I was criticized for my tears. Some people don't understand what a feeling of relief crying brings. Thanks for understanding, Wendy.

Jane! I just got home from church (California time) and will reply more in detail later today! Bless you, Wendy
