May I ask: In what part of Oregon are you ? Me, I'm in Grants Pass. Cheers.

Adrian, I am no longer in Oregon but was born and raised in Klamath Falls! I keep the “blunt Oregon girl” name as that reflects my core temperament and the subjects I write so viscerally about. I have lived in Northern California since 1979. Cheers back to you as well, I love dear Oregon (the red part, anyway…)

Ah ... thanks for the reply, Wendy. I moved to Portland (from which I escaped 6 weeks ago) from Oakland, CA, in 2013. Me, I, too, much prefer the Red part of the State. That said, I first saw Southern Oregon in 1977, on a road trip. Alas, I was born in the Belly of the Beast, Hollywood CA, in 1969 ... on its most infamous day. So, if it's not too delicate for the interwebs, what part of California do you call home nowadays?

Adrian, while I never reveal my actual location, I do live in the sticks, north of SF! I lived in downtown San Francisco for 31 years! I moved there in my very rowdy youth in summer 1979, had a mob of gay men friends, tried being bisexual (failed...) and lived by my wits for many years. Watched the beginning of the AIDS crisis and watched my beloved men friends begin to die. Awful. Strange, I was a residential leasing agent for 17 years and I used to tell the tech kids who came to look at $$$$ apartments for rent, that "I came to San Francisco as a Liberal and left as a Conservative." They would look puzzled and say "isn't it usually the other way around?" I would grin and say "not for me". Living in SF was never boring...but it is even more bat-patooty crazy then it was in my youth and God moved me out of there (SF Bay Area) in Spring of 2016. There are plenty of Conservatives in California...we are just not as loud as the Left. Klamath Falls is a blunt place, 4100 foot elevation, very cold in winter, farms and ranches and salt of the earth . That is my roots and I hold them in my heart! Blessings to you!!

If I had to guess, I'd say somewhere near Susanville, or maybe Chico ... who knows? Fortunately, I don't have to guess, nor do I tolerate idle guessers gracefully. More importantly, though, I wish blessings to you as well, Sister. Stay sharp in these Tense Times, stay safe, and stay pure! ☦️

Will do, Adrian. I visited your Stack, you are a very deep thinker, like me. You know money things, I do not, other than the vaunted school of hard knocks, of which I have a "PH. D" (piled higher and...). I have been a "valued member of the working poor" for over forty years, surviving by my wits in San Francisco and keeping sharp to survive. I can appreciate your arcane knowledge and given the chaos of the world, this is good. At least I am no longer in debt! Cut up all my credit cards during a Chap. 13 bankruptcy back in 2002 and have lived in cash and debit ever since. I understand my addictive nature and cannot be trusted ever again with Visa and friends. God is my Business Partner and He knows things... Blessings to you as well, I have been through the fire and intend to stay out of it until God brings me Home to Glory. (I am 72). YOU take good care as well, OK? Goodnight, Wendy
